Touch–Vedic Thai Yoga
Imagine feeling like you’ve just finished a great yoga class and had a relaxing massage, both at the same time. That’s Vedic Thai Yoga.
Vedic Thai Yoga has been practiced throughout Thailand and most of Asia for more than 2,500 years. It’s a lovely healing art that’s beneficial for the body and the emotions.
The Vedic Thai Yoga therapist works with the receiver on a floor mat, rolling and kneading the muscles with the hands and feet. The therapist also moves the receiver into a series of positions that increase range of motion, enhance airflow, and ensure a sense of tranquility and well-being.
Regular sessions complement other health practices by eliminating toxins from the body and encouraging flexibility. Other benefits include:
- Relaxation
- Pain reduction
- Swelling/edema reduction
- Stress management
- Passive exercise
- Enhanced mind/body connection
- Detoxification of soft tissue
- Maintenance of general health
I see clients Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays in the warm and nurturing Community Healing Center at Urban Yoga, 1706 8th Ave., Fort Worth, TX 76110.
